Post and Beam Construction in February in Vermont? Of Course.

In the snow? Of course!

The snow banks at Vermont Timber Works are much higher than in the above picture...and we are getting more snow. (We do not need any more snow)! The guys have been out working in this lovely weather, take a look. Some timber trusses and cupolas are just to big to be assembled in our shop.

Like this timber frame cupola in rough sawn hemlock timber for the Ferrisburg Town Hall Project. Fully assembled in our front door yard, it was great entertainment for Sue and I.

Loaded up and ready to go. Great job guys! It was very cold and windy that day. Below we have some of the Spruce Peak Custom Timber Trusses, 52ft long in douglas fir creating an 80ft span!
What do you think Ruby, are you chilly? Let's go back in.

Vermont Timber Works, post and beam construction continues throughout this snowy February & probably snowy March!

Ok this is NOT funny....15 degrees below zero this morning and that is without considering the wind chill. Crew is working inside the shop today!
