So many styles, so many choices! When you build a custom post and beam barn. At Vermont Timber Works not only do you get a custom designed and engineered barn, it's also hand crafted. No CNC machines in our shop.

Traditional joinery, mortise & tenon with hardwood pegs, dove tails, shoulder joints...now you're talking. Need some steel joinery? Vermont Timber Works offers steel joinery also. Sometimes you see the steel and sometimes you don't.


Weathered hemlock timbers were chosen for the barn shown above. Hand hewn timbers are a wonderful way to make your new barn look like it's been around for many years. Hewn with an adze or chisel, below is the result in white oak.
